"Venetian Guardian" is inspired by the fascinating history of cats in Venice and my own trip to the city during my university years. This painting, created on an old sketchbook page, depicts a cat, a revered figure in the city, with its silhouette revealing a vibrant scene of Venice. It reflects on the time when these creatures played a crucial role in saving the city from the plague by controlling the rat population. As this is an older piece, there are some creases in the paper and a few random paint splatters, which are visible in the image, but this will not detract from its beauty once framed. This is a very special piece to me, evoking cherished memories, and as many know, my love for cats runs deep! Due to its age, this artwork is slightly discounted.Size (42cm x 60cm)
